Welcome to the new home of my work. I’ve retired Chocolate for the Spirit and Late‑Blooming Women to focus on Mindful Activist—a space that empowers meaningful action while caring for our mental and emotional wellbeing. If you’ve ever felt whiplash between “do more” and “I need a minute,” you’re in the right place.


Why “Mindful Activist”

Because the world needs your voice—and you need your breath.

Modern activism asks a lot: urgency, clarity, stamina, hope. Burnout is real. Rage is real. So is joy. Mindful Activist is my practical philosophy for showing up with courage and care, pairing strategy with self‑stewardship so you can keep going for the long haul.

What I believe

  • People first. Dignity, inclusion, and curiosity guide our choices.
  • Truth matters. Evidence, sources, honest corrections.
  • Boundaries are brave. Rest, say no, and choose sustainable rhythm over constant crisis.
  • Joy is fuel. Humor, art, food, music, and nature are not distractions—they’re resistance.
  • Community care. We rise by resourcing one another.
  • Accountability. We repair harm, learn publicly, and keep improving.

Pillars of the Practice

A simple framework you can actually use.

1) Ground (Mind)

Daily rituals that keep you centered: breath work, reflective journaling, micro‑meditations, healthy media hygiene.

2) Learn (Clarity)

Understand the issue before you act. Read across sources, follow reputable experts, and ask better questions. (I share roundups to help.)

3) Connect (Community)

Find your people, honor lived experience, and build coalitions. Mutual aid isn’t a side quest—it’s the main path.

4) Act (Impact)

Choose tactics that match your capacity and the moment: calls, letters, canvassing, court watching, fundraisers, strategic storytelling, and yes—rest.

5) Renew (Sustainability)

Post‑action decompression, boundaries, movement, sleep, nature, and joy practices so tomorrow is possible.

The Mindful Activist Code

How we treat each other matters as much as what we’re fighting for.
